Zombies take over Fremont this Saturday

This Saturday, Fremont attempts to reclaim the Guiness Book Of World Records title, for most Zombie impersonators gathered together in one spot at one time. Expect thousands of Zombies
roaming the streets out front of Brouwer’s Cafe, as well as inside. Apparently the next best thing to brains is strong malty beer and hard liquor. Come on down and watch the spectacle, or become a zombie yourself for one night.

2010 World Cup at Brouwer’s

There are plenty of bars around town that are going crazy for the world cup and opening their doors as early as 4am to show every match possible. We are not one of those bars. However there are a number of games that do fall within our operating hours. We will be showing the following list of games with the sound on through our massive stereo system. We’re even researching extra screens for the games.

Post Beer Week Wrap up:

2010 Beer Week was one hell of a party this year. I’d like to thank my partners in the Beer Collective for all the hard work we’ve done to get Beer week rolling the past 2 years. Internally I need to thank all of the staff here at Brouwer’s for the extra shifts and long hours to make the many wonderful events happen. This year was even bigger and more explosive than before.
The biggest thanks of course goes out to everyone who came down to our events and made them the best they could be. As a reward over the next couple weeks we will be re-tapping some of our favorites beers that we poured during beer week. So keep your eyes on the draft list and check your tweets because there will be some amazing beers on tap, without the beer week crowds.

Seattle Beer Week May 13th – 23rd

May 13th through 23rd marks the Second annual Seattle Beer Week. Just as last year we’re planning events nearly every day of the ten day long “Brewer’s Week.” Old favorites from last year are returning like our Back In Black Stout Festival, Sour Beer Fest, and even our old friend Donnie Vommit is coming back to out do his show from last year with Kulture Freaks.
Along with these classic Seattle Beer Week events, we have several beer dinners and brewers nights. Keep checking back for updates on events and special taps for the festivities.

CANCLED!! Thursday April 22nd – Balvenie Master Class 6pm

We just found out that Andrew Weir is stuck in Scotland (at scotch distillery that is tough) and they are not sure when will get out? He would like to postpone the tasting on Thursday and will let us know about another date. I apologize for the inconvenience but this is strange delay in Europe with everyone being grounded and Andrew truly makes the event being the host.

Experience an intriguing evening with Andrew Weir, The Balvenie Brand Ambassador, to learn the history of the Distillery and a formal tasting with a range of Balvenie single malt scotch whiskies.
We will be Tasting:
12 Year DoubleWood
15 Year Single Barrel
17 Year Rum Cask
21 Year Port Cask

Each scotch will be served with a small plate pairing by our Chef Eric Draper

Russian River Pliny the Younger, Elder, Supplication and Damnation on Draft this evening

Sorry for the short notice, Tonight starting at 5 pm we will be pouring 4 Russian River Beers…Pliny the Younger, Pliny the Elder, Damnation, and Supplication.
The much anticipated and very rare Pliny the Younger has reached Washington, after selling out at the brewery in a day, or was it a few hours…We have one 1/6 barrel and that is it, once it is gone it is gone…
11.0%ABV, 1.098 O.G, GOBS of BUs
Pliny the Younger was Pliny the Elder’s nephew, in the case of this beer, the “Younger” is a triple IPA. Pliny the Younger is hopped three times more than our standard IPA, and is dry hopped four different times.

Supplication: Brown Ale aged in French oak Pinot Noir barrels with three strains of Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus, Pediococcus and sour cherries .

I am sure you all are familiar with the other two so I won’t bother you with the details…Remember Younger and Supplication are rare and available in small quantities, they will not last long…show up late and you might miss em…
